I've spent many years working with arts and crafts and beading and I've been writing ever since I knew what a pencil was. That has taken me into poetry, life writings and illustration work for my own self published booklets.

The first paint brush I ever had , I made with a twig, a lock of my own hair and some sewing thread. I painted pictures  with polk berry juice. Lots and lots of red and pink pictures.Of course this was only when I was six or seven years old.

Well now I use the real things , but I'll never forget my first brush!
