How to Reach Potential Customers Who Don't Use the Internet

There are still many who are not using the internet and some of them have no interest in adapting to the modern electronics of today. It's these people that you need to reach with your business information.
Direct mail is the sure way to reach them. Almost everyone in the United States receives mail somewhere. Even those that don't read the newspaper or a magazine will pick up catalogs and publications that are free.
A magalog is a combination of a magazine and a catalog. If you pay attention to some of the newsletters and publications that you receive from the larger companies, you'll see what a magalog is.
Write informative articles that show the importance of certain products that you promote and include ordering information. Give the customer the information he/she needs.
Magalogs are pretty much the new name for an informative newsletter that also carries an advertisement.
It should contain well written sections showing the usefulness of the products. Explain how they are different from other brands of the same kind of product on the markets.
Look at some of the monthly club publications , for example. Do you see how a title is written and explained. That's what needs to be done with your products and brands.
Don't only use direct mail. If your publication (magalog), is something farmers would be interested in, then ask your local co-op or farm supply store to place free copies near the registers or near the exit door.
If it pertains to hair care and cosmetics, ask your local salons to place copies on the reading table, so customers will see it.
Include a subscription form, at a very reasonable price, and allow potential customers to subscribe. You can build a great mailing list this way.
If it's something of general interest to all, get your local Mom & Pop stores to allow you to have just a little space near the front to distribute free copies.
If your product concerns cooking, include a few recipes using your products. By doing this, the potential customer will keep your publication longer, in order to use the recipes.
If you're retailing wood products, include a couple of instruction articles on how to make something.
If your product is jewelry related, give the customer some information on the origin of the designs, or add companion products.
Be creative, give the customer a reason to hold onto it, rather than immediately throwing it in the trash. There are many ways to keep your business information in front of the potential customer, and an informative magalog that the customer doesn't want to throw away, will do just that.
